What you get
A shut-off sized to your tub
A weatherproof safety switch near the tub, sized to your model.
Weatherproof wiring to the tub
Outdoor-rated wiring that takes wet weather and Colorado temperature swings.
Bonding done properly
The part that gets skipped, and the part that matters most. More below.

What bonding is, in plain terms
Bonding ties all the metal around the water together with a wire. The tub, the pump, the frame, the rails. Everything sits at the same electrical level.
Here is why that matters. Two metal things near water at different levels turn a person standing between them into the path. Bonding removes the difference. Nothing travels through you.
It is what I most often find missing on tubs someone else wired. It is also what you cannot see once the deck goes back down.
Before you buy the tub
Check the label on the tub, not the brochure. Tubs vary a lot in what they draw, and the wiring has to match.
Book a quote before the tub arrives if you can. I look at your panel and the run, then hand you a flat price. Tub already sitting there? I wire one after it is in place.
Pools too
Pump circuits and shut-offs, equipment panels, heater circuits, salt systems, pool light wiring, weatherproof outlets, and bonding for the whole setup. Same approach. Sized to your equipment, bonded, permitted.
Common questions
Do I need a permit?
That's up to your town and I check for your address. Where one is needed I pull it, pay the fee, and coordinate the inspection.
How far can the tub be from the panel?
Further than you think. Distance costs wire, not difficulty.
My tub is already in and I think the wiring is wrong.
I come look. Missing bonding and undersized wire are what I find most. I show you what is there and quote the fix.
Can you do the wiring before the tub arrives?
Usually yes, if I have the model details. Then a short second visit makes the final connection.
Where does the shut-off go?
Somewhere you can reach it and see it from the tub. Clearances vary by town. I check what applies at your address.
Why most people dread hiring an electrician
Everyone has a story about a contractor. Here's what usually goes wrong, and what I do instead.
They charge a trip fee just to look at the job.
My quote is free, and you're under no obligation.
They charge by the hour, so you never know the final price.
I quote a flat price.
They show up late (or not at all).
I show up on time, or $100 off.
They send whoever's available, often an apprentice.
Whoever quotes your job does your job. That's me.
They sell you as much as they can, even if you don't need it.
I tell you what you don't need, in writing.
They might be unlicensed, underinsured, or never background checked.
I'm licensed, insured, and background checked.
They vanish when something fails.
I guarantee my work for life. Parts get two years.
They leave the permit to you.
I handle the permit and coordinate the inspection.
I take pride in doing it right, the first time.
